Our volunteer, Chris, finished her Beryl’s 100 for 100 Challenge with an unbelievable result. Chris set herself a challenge to make 100 cakes and sell them outside her house on the five Saturdays during May. Her first couple of weeks saw her sell over £500 worth with many repeat orders requested and word got around. For the next week she set about making extra cakes, cookies and sausage rolls. She baked and baked and sold out each Saturday. Kind residents of Tysoe donated extra and by the end of the last Saturday Chris raised £1509.60 !! Such an amazing amount! Thank you so much Chris and for your stall helpers, daughter Lucy and neighbour Katy. Thank you also to all the happy shoppers who purchased. Apparently, the Mars bar cake was their favourite. Recipe to follow shortly when Chris stops dreaming of baking!!
Baking in her sleep!
