Isabella Spence, (Issy), 7 years old, who attends the Croft Preparatory School, in Stratford, has raised over £650 for the Group after her school required her to do a project on something in her community. Issy thought about what she could do and as she loves horse riding and her new pony, Foxy, so she challenged herself to ride 50 miles in January and asked for sponsorship to help us with the upkeep of our ponies. With her Mother, Karen, and Dad, Mark, leading her on alternate days, she travelled for over 52 miles during the month around the lanes and fields near where she lives near Broadway in all weathers, sunshine, rain, and snow! Issy’s goal was to raise £50, but this was achieved in a few days and she is thrilled with the amount of support she received and the money she has raised.
Here she is collecting her fundraising certificate.
We are so grateful to Issy, it was a lovely surprise when we heard about her challenge and to raise so much for us is a real help as without riders at the moment we have not got an income apart from sponsorship, donations and kind fundraising challenges like Issy’s. Our loyal horses still need feed, hay, and to see a farrier – possibly even care from the vets which all adds up, all with no clear idea of when we will be able to start activities again.
Thank you so much Issy and Foxy and to Karen and Mark for leading her.
